A Valentine's Day Short

They pulled up to the overlook and beheld the glistening icy water below them in vast expanse across the land. What a day to be doing this. What a place to be doing this. A place of beginning and a place of end. Or was it not?

They both sat there in silence even after the engine had fallen silent. So many emotions filled the cab of his truck that they need not even speak a word. They both hungered for the others touch but their stubbornness held them back.

"Why did we come here, of all places?" Allena found her voice and her frustration was evident. The place in front of them was full of so many good memories for both of them

"Because we need to talk," Cal admitted.

Allena looked out the window not turning to face Cal. Their lives were entering a new chapter and forcing them to take different paths, away from each other.

"I don't want to fight about this again. That's all we have been doing. We talk, we fight, we have incredible make up sex. That's what we do."

"We are not here to fight, Allena."

"Cal, we're over. It's that easy. We don't need to drag this out any longer. What we had was great, no, amazing but we'll be thousands of miles apart." Allena knew he would never ask her to come with him and she understood. Their relationship had been sudden, short, exploding with passion, but the timing was off.

Allena didn't give Cal a chance to respond. She swung open the truck door, hopped out, and slammed the door close before she began to walk away. Cal immediately followed into the brisk night air and caught up to Allena fast.

"Stop fighting me Allena." Cal's words made her stop dead in her tracks.

Allena turned to face Cal and her feelings were written all over her face. In the darkness of the cool night, the moonlight illuminated her features and the sadness within her.

Cal reached out to pull Allena in to his arms but she stepped back out of her grasp.

"No, Cal. I can't."

"Damn it, Allena. It's not over. It will never be over." With that he grabbed her and crushed her to him, taking her lips with his own. Her body melded to his, giving into the the hard, wanting hold of his body. His hands framed her face and he tore his lips from her own swollen ones. "I can't watch you walk away again, Allena. God...I'm so damn in love with you."

She pulled him to her in a searing kiss that said everything she couldn't find words to say. They soon pulled away from each other and walked back to his truck, never letting the other go.

****************
(later that night)

As soon as they walked into the door at Cal's place, they were in each other's arms. Cal pinned Allena against the wall, taking her mouth in a fierce, ravishing, kiss. His mouth broke away and he turned her to face the wall, his hands tracing their way down her body. Allena was losing herself in his touch.

Cal turned her to him and Allena wrapped her legs around him. Clothes were falling everywhere as they made their way to his bed. Once there, Allena layed on the bed completely naked and overcome with her need for him. Cal finished shedding his clothes and joined her on the bed, covering her body with his own. Pinning her arms above her head, his mouth moved down her kneck and then lower, to take each breast into his mouth. Allena moaned in sweet ecstacy as Cal's mouth continued to move even lower, to her very wet core. His tongue probbed her in a natural rythym and her body arched beneath him.

Cal continued to torture her with his mouth until she was on the verge of her climax. He moved up between her legs and entered her hot, wet, core slowly and then faster. Her legs wrapped tight around him and her fingers dug into his back with each thrust. She met her climax fast and his soon followed.

They collapsed in the aftermath of their fast, sweet lovemaking. As soon as the both returned to a steady state of mind, Allena broke the air with her confession.

"I love you too, Cal. Happy Valentines Day." Their lips met again, igniting the passion and love within each other that would always hold them together.
